Feng Shui:
An Ancient Chinese Art of Geomancy

Applying Auspicious Symbology
To Stimulate Your Eight Mansions

Auspicious enhancing symbology can be employed to stimulate positive activation of Chi flow in the auspicious sectors of your Life Kua.

Life Kua Location:

SHENG CHI - Prosperity

This is known as the Prosperity Corner of your home. Activating this sector is said to bring about abundance in life, advancement in career, and success in life's endeavors. Eight Mansions Practitioners call this the real Money Corner.

To activate your Sheng Chi sector with Symbology Feng Shui, Feng Shui Masters recommend that you use Gold Dragons, Laughing Buddha Figurines, Traditional Money Frogs, gold nuggets and anything that symbolizes Wealth and abundance.

In a nutshell, anything that symbolizes wealth, abundance, prosperity and riches are suitable to be placed in your Sheng Chi sector to activate the star.

As a guide:

  • Chinese Dragons
Perhaps one of the sure-fire symbols of good fortune and benevolence is the Chinese Dragon. Gold Dragons and Bronze Dragons are suited to be use to activate the Sheng Chi sector of your home.
  • Happy Buddha - Matreiya
The Happy or Laughing Buddha (Matreiya) is said to bestow abundant wealth and happiness to the family or individual. The Sheng Chi sector of your home would be initiated with his benign presence.
  • Chan Chu - The Traditional Money Frog
Chan Chu is a mythical frog that has three legs. It is said that whoever the Chan Chu is seen with, that individual is extremely fortunate and that good news will soon follow.

In the Ching Dynasty, placing Money Frogs near the Earth God's Altar has become a popular practice. The Chan Chu is depicted biting a coin, symbolizing bringing "money" into the family. That is why today all Chan Chus are made with a Chinese Coin in its mouth.

Those who prefer to advocate the Five Element theory may choose to place wood or water element items to stimulate the Sheng Chi star, because it itself is the element of Wood. According to the Ba Cai Ming Jing (Eight Mansions Mirror - A Ching Dynasty Classic), Sheng Chi is associated with the Tan Lang star, which is of the element of Wood.
